Cambodian Americans Second-generation Post-genocide, Reflect on their Lives, Culture, and History: Strong in the broken places Cambodian and Cambodian Americans generously shared with me reflections on their past, their current lives, and their dreams and visions for the future. What is the legacy for these descendants, the second generation born after Cambodia’s genocide? What is their understanding of their history, their present lives, & their future? Their voices are heard in this summary of research (click here to open) that I conducted in 2013 and 2014 in Phenom Penh and Takeo, Cambodia, and in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. Many thanks to all who participated in making their perspectives heard.
